I have a passion for teaching biblical texts and the cultural world around them. Shortly after receiving my PhD, I was offered a professorship to pursue this passion, but it would have meant uprooting myself from my family and friends. Instead, I began to research online learning communities, which resulted in the co-founding of the Institute of Biblical Culture with Jeffrey P. GarcÍa, PhD. Come join me at the institute, where you can take a class, learn an ancient language, earn a high-level certificate, join a study group, join an archaeological dig, visit the Bible lands, or propose a research project.
